AWARDING HONORARY TITLES AND TRIBUTES BY THE RUSSIAN DENTAL ASSOCIATION (RDA).

About the awards of Russian Dental Association.

Since 1998 the Russian Dental Association (RDA) begins rewarding the persons of stomatological trades and working in stomatological organizations for the special merits before the trade reflected in the accompanying documents. The professional public organization (StAR) has an opportunity to appreciate the work of the colleagues, on the principles of professionalism, fidelity to the trade. By the way, who if not an except can adequately estimate work of the colleagues?

In the secretary of StAR the special order forms are made which should be addressed from the territorial association to the Chairman of the commission on the awards at the President of StAR, the academician N.N. Bazhanov.

THE RULES OF ESTABLISHMENT OF HONOURABLE RANKS AND AWARDS OF Russian Dental Association (RDA).

1. Promotion of the candidates (physical persons) on competition of honourable ranks and awards of the StAR may be carried out only by stomatological associations of the subjects of the federation.

2. The right on honourable ranks and the awards have:

2.1. A rank "Deserved dentist" - stomatologists, dentists, the members of the StAR.

2.2. The order "For the large merits in stomatology" - physical and legal persons (not necessarily to be a member of the StAR and not necessarily stomatologists and dentists).

2.3. A medal "Honours of stomatology" - physical persons working in any stomatological speciality, being the members of the StAR.

2.4. A medal "Dental mechanic" - the Federal champion of the appropriate year, - tooth engineers being the members of the StAR (no more than one medal per one year).

3. The documents on the persons for awarding should be given into the Commission at President of the StAR in the order and terms established by the Council of the StAR:

- the petitions of the Association of the subject of the federation which is made out on the form of the appropriate sample;

- the brief review of the basic activity, creative merits of the competitor;

For an estimation of activity of the physical person, the criteria submitted in the application 1, 2, 3 are offered.
*** - the ranks and awards marked with the appropriate figure are not limited according to the quantity in the subjects of federation.

The offered criteria do not limit granting the other criteria of activities, if those are available.

Promotion nurses, dental mechanics, other medical experts and persons not having medical trades (economic, service personnel, guards etc.) is made with the support of the petition in any form from the main doctor, and with his signature.

The nominees put forward on competition of a rank "Deserved stomatologist" are examined at the next session of a Commission on the awards at the President of the StAR and at the positive decision are affirmed by the decision of the Congress of Russian Dental Association.

The nominees put forward on rewarding with orders "For the large merits in stomatology" of the I and II degrees are considered at the Session of a Commission on the awards at the President of the StAR and if the decision is positive, it is affirmed by the decision of the Council of the StAR.

The nominees put forward on rewarding by the medals "Honours stomatologist" of the I, II, III degrees, are considered and affirmed only at the Session of the Commission on the awards at the President of the StAR.

The winner "of a Federal championship dental mechanics" of the appropriate year becomes a medalist "Dental mechanic - Federal champion" of the appropriate year automatically.

The persons who are the owners of the awards after the appropriate procedures participate in the process of rewarding:

1) The persons - the owners of a rank "Deserved stomatologist" take part in the public ceremony at the next congress of the StAR.

2) The persons – the owners of the order "For the large merits in stomatology" and the medal "Dental mechanic - Federal champion of the appropriate year" take part in the public ceremony at the next Council of the StAR.

3) The persons, the winners of the medal "Honours stomatologist" take part in the ceremony of rewarding at the Conference of stomatological association of the appropriate subject of the Federation.

THE APPLICATION 1
1. It is recommended to take into account the following average parameters for the last 3 years for an estimation of activity of the competitor - the physical person:

For a stomatologist-therapeutist:

1. The number of visitings to 1 not complicated caries.

2. The number of visitings to 1 complicated caries.

3. The number of visitings to 1 seal.

4. The percent of sanitated from primarily addressed patients.

5. The number of visitings to 1 readjustment.

6. The ratio of the cured teeth to the removed ones.

7. The mastered methods of preventive maintenance of caries (to list).

8. Using anesthetization (to describe).

For a stomatologist-surgeon:

1. Surgical activity (the number of average-adopted patients during a working day).

2. The kinds of operative methods of treatment (to list).

3. Used kinds of anesthetization (to list).

4. The number of the complications which required hospitalization.

For stomatologist-orthopedist:

1. An average number of visitings for manufacturing an artificial limb (separately according to the kinds of prosthesis).

2. The kinds of artificial limbs (to list).

3. The list of used technologies and materials (to list).

For an estimation of activity of each competitor it is necessary to specify:

1. The number compelled repeated addresses in connection with the earlier carried out treatment (therapy, surgery, orthopedy).

2. Studying on the courses of improvement of qualification, certification for the last 5 years.

3. Participation in congresses, conferences, scientific societies with the reports:

- The additional criteria at the discretion of the management of the regional association of stomatologists can be brought into the estimation of activity of the competitor.

- For an estimation of the activity of the tooth engineer the quality of his products, aesthetic parameters of an artificial limb, timeliness of manufacturing of the order, repeated references connected with the breakages of artificial limbs, the quality of moulding is taken into account.

- At an estimation of the activity of the polyclinic it is recommended to use the following parameters:

1. The percent of scoping of the population by primary preventive maintenance (not less than 25 %).

2. The percent of scoping of the population by scheduled readjustment not less then (15-20 %) at presence State order).

3. The percent of scoping of stomatological staff with improvement of professional skills in the current 5 years.

4. The percent of certificated stomatological staff not (80-85 %).

5. The organization in stomatological establishments the work in "4 hands" (not less than 15-20 % of armchairs).

6. To describe clinical and economic effect after introduction the new technologies for the last 2 years.

7. The percent of application of the new systems in prosthesis. The kinds of the systems (to describe).

8. Quality of moulding (according to 5 ball system).

9. The computer equipping of the establishments. What programs are introduced. Economic benefit of introduction of the given programs (to describe)

10. To approve the fact, that the establishment is the base for training the students in intertnatura, post-diploma training.

11. Encouragement of the local bodies of authority.

For a basis of an estimation the annual report for last 2 years is used.

THE APPLICATION 2

For an estimation of activity of the competitor - physical person children stomatologist, working in preventive branch of the clinic:

1. The number of examined children.

2. The number of children required.

3. The percent of sainted from the number of requiring it.

4. Quantity of cases of complicated caries in constant teeth on 1000 of surveyed.

5. Quantity of constant teeth directed to removal on 1000 surveyed.

6. The percent of children having intact constant teeth in 7 year’s age.

7. The percent of children having intact constant teeth in 9 year’s age.

8. The methods of group and individual preventive maintenance are introduced: professional hygiene of the cavity of the mouth, the control of skills on hygiene of the cavity of the mouth, covering of teeth with fluorine, hermetic sealing fissures (to describe).

9. Participation in realization of popular methods of preventive maintenance (sanitary - educational work; introduction of the educational programs on hygiene of a cavity of a mouth) (to describe).

2. For an estimation of activity of the competitor – a physical person children stomatologist, working in children polyclinic on general reception:

1. The percent of sanitated from the number of persons addressed to the given doctor for the first time.

2. The number of children taken on dispensary supervision at the age less then 1 year.

3. Prevalence of caries among children about 3 years old observed by the doctor beginning 1 year age.

4. Applying karpul technologies for anesthetization at treatment of teeth.

5. The number of cases of using vital amputation during the last 2 years (in percents to devital methods).
6. Using the modern materials (composite materials of chemical calcification, photopolymers, glassworks materials, calcium containing interfacing materials, silants - to emphasize).

7. The methods of medical preventive maintenance are introduced: (professional hygiene of a cavity of a mouth, the control after skills on hygiene of a cavity of a mouth, covering of teeth fluorine, hermetic sealing fissures - to emphasize).

8. Participation in realization of popular methods of preventive maintenance (sanitary - educational work, introduction the educational programs on hygiene of a cavity of a mouth - to describe).

9. The kinds of surgical manipulations, which the doctor is able to fulfill (to describe).

10. The quantity of the patients, covered with hardware treatment, per one year (for orthodontist) - from them – the number of persons who completed their treatment.

11. The kinds of hardware for treatment used (for orthodontist) (to describe).
The kinds of additional inspection of the patient applied by the orthodontist (orthopantomografics, account of models - to emphasize).

3. Estimation of activity of the children stomatological polyclinic:

THE APPLICATION 3

Criterion of an estimation of activity of the main doctors and vice main doctor of polyclinics.

1. Quantity of the medical staff (not less than 90 %).

2. Changing of the staff per one year (no more than 5 %).

3. Certification of the doctors (not less than 50 %).

4. Fulfilling the volume of the help (not less than 100 %) within 3 years

5. Organization of the medical-preventive help at the level of the modern technologies (to describe).

6. Ensuring safety and comfort of the working conditions of the employees (to describe).

7. Absence of justified complaints of the population within 3 years.

8. Active preventive work and educational activity (to describe).

9. Gratitudes from managing bodies (urban, regional, etc.).
