International Congress & Expo Moscow, Russia Dental-Expo 2007 Beats Records27639 attendee and 426 companies at the fall forum of dentistry in Moscow Last 5 years marketing experts annually ascertain rapid growth of the dental market in Russia. Thus, on a background of constantly becoming tougher competition the quantity of the trading companies and dental practices constantly grows. Demand of the population for dental services grows as well. All this testifies, first of all, to the general growth of the income level in the country. September 2007 has evidently shown to the world dental industry the readiness of dentists of Russia for the global competition. Not only figures of attendance of the exhibition "Dental-Expo 2007" certify that, but also that level of preparation for the exhibition which was shown by the Russian exhibitors. Stands became more functional - more open space was allocated on demonstration of production. The level of demonstration equipment of stands has sharply grown – the number of 50 centimeters up to 5 meters diagonal plasma panels and projective screens used at stands has increased. Two companies organized life-operations in specially equipped on-stands operational rooms with video retranslation and comments of the performing surgeon. In the recreation area in the center of the exhibition hall two points of free-of-charge access to the Internet have been set up. During the exhibition there were held more than 200 lectures, workshops, seminars and presentations performed by leading experts. More than 80 novelties of domestic and foreign products were presented. And all this immerged into a flow of live music which played at the recreation area all four days. As a result Dental-Expo 2007 showed record results both in number of exhibitors and visitors. This overall success was confirmed by most of participants. Now the biggest problem at Moscow dental show is lack of stand staff despite the fact that many big companies close their offices for the period of the exhibition.
70% of visiting dentists work in private practices. 10% of visitors come from dental depots.
At "Dental-Expo 2007" organizers have increased the volume of shuttle bus service plying from the Metro stop “Tushinskaja” to Crocus Expo. This volume will be increased farther more at the coming "Dental Salon 2008". Besides it is expected that the introduction of the new underground station "Strogino", planned for December 2007, will allow to unload the route "Tushinskaja" - "Crocus" and will offer visitors and exhibitors an additional opportunity to get to the exhibition grounds. The 18th All-Russia scientific-practice conference "Dentistry of the XXI century" organized by the Russian Dental Association included various symposiums as well as VII All-Russia Congress on esthetic dentistry and VI All-Russia Congress of dental technicians. Session of the Board of the Russian Dental Association, and also the expanded session of the Board of the Association of Trading and Industrial Enterprises (RoSi) took place.
